    • Bernard "Barney" L. Lasee, 80, Town of Rockland, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. He was born Sept. 2, 1931, a son of the late Leo and Stella (Quinette) Lasee. On June 19, 1954, he married the former Margaret Van Noie at Old St. Joseph Church, De Pere.

      Bernard farmed his entire life on the family farm. He loved his John Deere tractors, his registered herd and was very proud of his Red and White heifer triplets. He enjoyed listening to polka music and driving his golf cart around the farm helping with chores. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, De Pere, where he ushered for many years.

      Bernard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Lasee, Town of Rockland; son, Brian (Bonnie) Lasee, Town of Rockland; granddaughter, Nicole Lasee; brother-in-law, Clarence Ducat; and nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, David, Kenneth and Dean; and two sisters, Beverly Lasee and Germaine Ducat.

      Family and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.
