    • Barbara (Van Ven Roy) Mc Cartney, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 3, 2016, the day after her 67th birthday. She was born October 2, 1949, the daughter of Raymond and Lorraine (Liebmann) Van Ven Roy. Barbara graduated from Preble High School in 1967 and began her working career at Packerland Packing where she met her future husband, Ted Mc Cartney. Barb and Ted were married on October 9, 1971, at St. Willebrord Church and she was a loving and devoted wife. The union was blessed with two children, Scott and Carrie. Barb became a stay at home mom for many years, cherishing the time with her children as they grew up. She later returned to work in the Housekeeping Department at St. Vincent Hospital, retiring in 2014.

      Barb was very proud of her grandchildren, Grayson and Aiden, and enjoyed spending time with them. She bowled on various women's leagues throughout the years. Barb was a member of St. Bernard Parish.

      She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Tony) Cahak, Abrams; her son, Scott Mc Cartney, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Grayson and Aiden Cahak; two sisters, Mary De Cremer and Janet (John) Royce, all of Green Bay; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill Mc Cartney, Pat Mc Cartney, Rick and Cheryl Mc Cartney, Larry Mc Cartney, Randy Mc Cartney, Pete Nerenhausen, Jan White, Penny and Jim Juza, Sandy Kilcrease, Joanne and Louie Runge, Diane Kain, Lindeen Bornick and Denise Van Ven Roy; many nieces and nephews, several aunts and many cousins.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, on February 21, 2006; her parents, Raymond and Lorraine Van Ven Roy; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Leona Mc Cartney; her grandparents, Cornelius and Alice Van Roy and Ernest and Marie Liebmann; two brothers, David and Dale Van Ven Roy; a sister-in-law, Elin Nerenhausen; brothers-in-law, Francis De Cremer, Harold and Robert Mc Cartney; Ray Kilcrease and Ken White.

      Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane. There will be a parish wake service at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. William Hoffman officiating.
