  Appleton Post Crescent Mrs. Arnold Verbeten (Mary A.) 445 Main St., Wrightstown April 11, 1979 Age 86, died Wednesday at her home after a lingering illness. She was born January 6, 1893 in Kaukauna. Mrs. Verbeten attended Kaukauna Normal School and was a teacher in that area. She married Mr. Verbeten in 1921 and the couple came to Wrightstown 43 years ago. Mrs. Verbeten was a member of the Christian Mothers Society; the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and the Wrightstown Golden Agers. Survivors include her husband, Arnold; three daughters: Mrs. Douglas (Germaine) Smith, Wrightstown; Mrs. Earl (Marie) Thiel, Appleton; Mrs. Robert (Gen) Ambrosius, Brillion; two sons: Mark and Luke, Wrightstown; a brother William Nytes, Kaukauna, 39 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild. The complete funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard Shafer officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the De Wane Funeral Home. There will be a rosary by the Christian Mothers Society at 7:30 p.m. Friday and a parish prayer service at 9 p.m. Friday.
