- Mary Lee Brozyna, 73, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 19, 1942 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Thaddeus Brozyna and the late Leona (Kersten) Brozyna. Mary Lee graduated from West De Pere High School in 1960. She's remembered for her outstanding performance as leading lady "Midge" in her 1959 Senior Class Play. She called Wisconsin home, was creative and adventurous, and enjoyed seeing new places; also residing in Oregon, Virginia, Illinois, California and Minnesota. She relocated to Alabama after retiring from Pomp's Tire, Green Bay, in 2003. There she was able to enjoy quality time with a new grandson, her daughter and family. She also faithfully managed a resale store, part time, for the Catholic Social Services in Robertsdale, Alabama until 2011. She loved spending time with family and was a devoted grandmother, mother, and friend. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing, rug hooking, crossword puzzles, tennis, ping-pong and board games. She was an unbeatable Scrabble opponent. She left the unique legacy of a creative word game, invented by her, which her 3 children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren still enjoy. Mary Lee is survived by her 3 children: son Troy (Vicki) DeWitt; daughter Tanya (Steve) Cornell; daughter Heidi (Shane) Collier. Also, grandchildren: (Tanya) Tommy and Carly Cornell; (Heidi) Justin Collier; (Troy) Avery and Rowan Dewitt. She is further survived by her 3 sisters: Nola (Dave) Vanhanselaere; Miriam (Jim) Mulva; Nancy (Jim) Pozorski, nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a memorial service on Monday, August 1st, at Old St Joe's, St. Norbert College Campus, 212 3rd St. De Pere at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Lee's name would be appreciated; please send them to St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital 501.
