- Christopher Paul De Groot, 62, died of Cancer July 7, at home in Iowa City, IA.
He was born July 23, 1953 in Green Bay, WI to Roger & Mary (Berceau) De Groot.
Chris graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School in St Louis, MO. and received a degree in Architecture from the University of Kansas.
He was a partner and on the Board of Directors at the Neumann Monson Architectural firm in Iowa City, IA.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years. Barbara (Gable) De Groot, two daughters, Maren & Analies, two sons, Kaes and Andre, as well as his parents Roger & Mary De Groot, two sisters, Catherine Roach & Mary Jo Weiss, and two brothers, John & Peter.
Funeral services were held at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City on July 15.
