    • Maude Schabow, 92, Allouez resident, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2005.

      She was born the youngest of 10 children on Dec. 30, 1912, in the Town of Lawrence, to the late William and Emma (Young) Church.

      Maude married Heinz Schabow on June 30, 1935. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1998, after 63 years of marriage.

      Maude was a dedicated member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was proud to be a part of the Women of the Church Elizabeth R&R Circle.

      Maude is survived by daughters, Bonnie (William) Ela, Bonita Springs, Fla., and Sandra (Dennis) Birkholz, Mackville, Wis.; her grandchildren, Cassandra (Michael) Cortese, West Chester, Penn., Abigail (Dr. Thomas) Wallhaus, Madison, and Kurt Ela, Washington, D.C.; five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Cameron and William Cortese and Taylor and Truely Wallhaus; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Church, Wausau, and Kata McDaniel, Wichita, Kan.

      She was preceded in death by her siblings; and her beloved daughter, Donna.

      There will be a private family service held at South Lawrence Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Lange officiating.
