- Donald A. Hockers, 92, De Pere, passed away on Sunday evening September 7, 2014 surrounded by his family at a local hospital. Don was born July 14, 1922 to the late Albert and Minnie (Hoks) Hockers. Don served his country as a Tech. Sargent in the Army. He was very proud of his military career. On June 18, 1947 he was united in marriage to Grace Aerts at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. He retired from Pierquets TV & Appliance after many years of service. Don proudly was able to take part in the Honor Flight Program on October 21, 2010.
He is survived by his children; Linda (Steve) Vande Hei, De Pere and their children Erin, and Renee (Brandon) Roffers, Lee (Cindy) Hockers, Oconto and their children Alan and Emily, Tim (Barb) Hockers, De Pere and their children Curt, Brian, Eric, and David (Jane) Hockers, Brillion and their children Anthony and Matthew. Don is further survived by his special great grandson Cameron Roffers, as well as his sisters in law and a brother in law; Arleen Krug, Bernice Hockers, Margie Hockers, and Joseph Glowacki. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace in 2004, and his siblings; Elmer Hockers, Richard (LaVonne) Hockers, Roland Hockers, Howard Hockers, Dorothy (Leo) Kusch, Sister Alberta Hockers, and brothers in law Carl (Jeanette Glowacki) Aerts, and Harvey (June) Aerts.
Friends may call after 9am Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
