- Eathen E. Brewster, 68, 400 W. Division St., Kaukauna, died at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday after a long illness. He was born in Kaukauna June 29, 1892 and lived there all of his life. Mr. Brewster belonged to the American Legion for 41 years and was a past Commander. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and International Association of Machinists and Local 147. He was an alderman of the First Ward for many years and was a Secretary of the Utility Commission for 18 years. Mr. Brewster was a Trustee of the Holy Cross Church for thirty years. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Emelia; four daughters, Miss Geraldine Brewster, Mrs. Joseph Bergeron, Miss Florence Brewster, Miss Margaret Brewster, all of Kaukauna; three sons, Robert, Saginaw, Mich., Francis, Sun Prairie, Wis., and James, U.S. Army in Maryland; a brother, Michael, Appleton.
Four sisters, Mrs. John Bowers, Appleton, Mrs. Dorothy Rieth, Granada Hills, Cal., Miss Oniska Brewster, Los Angeles, Cal., Miss Marge Brewster, Laguna Beach, Cal., and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Thursday morning at Holy Cross church, Kaukauna, with burial in the Holy Cross cemetery. Rev. Andrew Quella will officiate. Mr. Brewster will be accorded full military honors.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna with Rosary at 8 p.m.
