    • Margaret A. Daun, age 90, of Chilton, formerly of Stockbridge & New Holstein, died on Friday, May 20, 2016.

She was the former Margaret Hemauer born November 21, 1925 to the late Joe & Eva Hemauer of Stockbridge. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School and Stockbridge High School. She married Arthur Daun on June 14, 1945, who preceded her in death on February 6, 1993.

Margaret was a member of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton, formerly an active member of Holy Rosary Church in New Holstein for many years, the Christian Women's Society and the Chilton Eagles.

Margaret did many things in her lifetime. She farmed with her husband, drove school bus, drove van for the Calumet County Commission on Aging Office for 15 years, and then was a volunteer bailiff for the Calumet County Circuit Courts. Her lifelong dream and passion was to own a restaurant. She fulfilled that dream by waitressing for many years. Margaret worked at the K&R and the Beacon in New Holstein, the Millhome and the Chateau in Kiel, and the Eagles in Chilton.

Margaret's 7 children, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way) gave her many happy hours. She is survived by 3 daughters: Ruth Ann (Ken) Hedberg, Ginny (Dennis) Marose, Julie Daun; 3 sons: Robert (Kathleen), Tom (Connie) and Jeff (Joyce); and a daughter-in-law: Judy. Margaret is also survived by one sister: Mary Criter; and 2 brothers: Willard (Mary) Hemauer and David (Marlene) Hemauer; sisters-in-law: Joan Hemauer, Tessie (Ray) Vasser; and brother-in-law: Bill Huebner. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; Art; her son: Gary; brothers & sisters-in-law: Jack (Chris) Hemauer, Art (Rosie) Hemauer and Chuck Hemauer. She is further preceded in death by brother-in-law: Leander Daun; and a sister-in-law: Pat Huebner.
