- Veronica (Verona) B. Endter Oshkosh Age 96, daughter of the late Pater and Catherine Green, died December 26, 1999, at Centennial Inn. She was born in Freedom, Wisconsin, on March 7, 1903 attended Freedom Grade Schools and trained as a practical nurse with Dr. and Mrs. Schein in Oshkosh. She married Lee L. Endter on November 17, 1924, in Freedom. Verona and Lee owned an apartment house in Oshkosh for many years and considered their tenants as friends. Lee preceded her in death in 1968. Verona was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church since 1924 and was an honorary member of the Aquinas Club. She was also very active for many years in St. John's Mission Society. Verona was the youngest daughter in a family of eight boys and four girls, all deceased. She is survived by 29 dear nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces, great nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 30, 1999 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, the Rev. John Becker officiating. Family and friends may call at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, from 5 until 7 p.m. at which time there will be a prayer service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Verona's memory may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
