- Edwin W. Belschner, 91, Mill Center, died Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was born on July 27, 1924 in Pulaski to Edward and Cecilia Belschner.
After graduating from Pulaski High School, Ed served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was a proud member of the Suamico VFW Post #9409. He was well known as the "Milkman" as he worked for Birdseye Dairy until retiring in 1989. During retirement, Ed enjoyed sleeping, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He spent many summers up at Popp's Resort with his wife of 65 years, Sylvia, his family and close friends. Most of all, Ed loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Dee Belschner; two grandchildren, Paul and Zoi Belschner, Jennifer and Greg Miller; four great-grandchildren, Tanner and Callie Belschner, Wyatt and Mac Miller.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; and sisters, Ethelyn (Mervin) Mason and Jean Belschner.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 3 to 6 p.m Friday, May 20. The Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Jim Gauthier officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ed's name.
A special thank you is extended to Cheryl and the Unity Hospice staff; Jim and Vicki Ward (Eddie's beloved neighbors); and Eddie's guardian angel, Zoi and Paul for allowing him to be able to stay at home.
