Margaret Ann Behling, age 100, died Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born in Kimberly on August 31, 1923 to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Reynen) Boucher. Margaret married Arthur F. Behling at Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna on July 13, 1946. She was a member of the American Legion Women Auxiliary from 1952 – 2023, and served two years as president in Gresham. Margaret loved sewing, knitting, baking cookies, and crafts. She enjoyed swimming and canoeing at Knooz Lake in Gresham where she taught multiple children how to swim. Margaret had a great love of flowers and gardening. She was proud to attend numerous Sailor’s reunions with her husband, including years of vacations around the United States. Her impact on the five generations of her children will carry on for more generations to come. We will miss her quiet sense of humor, stating last week that she needed to keep her CPR certification in case she had to revive Art.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 77 years, Art; children: Bonnie Tuttle, Thomas (Sue) Behling, Al (Shirley) Behling, Philip (Susan) Behling, and Elizabeth “Betsy” (John) Moder; grandchildren: Heather (Todd) Westley, Tommy (Danielle) Tuttle, Corey (Zach) Davis, Luke (Tina) Behling, Katie (Jake) Nolan, Lance (friend Lacey) Behling, Jessica (Kelly) Sexton, Chad Behling, Stephanie (Wendy) Wehling, Bryce (Mashel) Behling, Adam (Melissa) Behling, Janna (Tim) Halbach, John (Derek) Moder II, and Jamie (Pete) Ellenbecker; great grandchildren: Elizabeth (Patrick) Michaelis, Austin (Robyn) Michaelis, Ricky Paruch, Tiffany (Matt) Paruch, Amber and Casey Davis, Addie and Lydia Behling, Miles and Max Nolan, Brianne and Claire Sexton, Evelyn and Natalie Van Thiel (father Matt Van Thiel), Ryan and Ashley Trippler, Cameron Perkovich, Rylan and Braysen Behling, Drew, Lucia, Ellie, Hazel, and Vincent Halbach, Jada, Nadia, and Logan Draheim; great great grandchildren: Felix Michaelis, Rosalyn Michaelis, and Daisy Friedrich; siblings: Paul (Bernice) Boucher and Inez Paustian; in-laws: Jerome “Bucky” Behling, JoAnn Behling, and Dot Behling; and special family friends: Tracy, Prestynn, and Collin Evers. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Westley; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Theresa (Luniak) Behling; and numerous other family members.
