  died young from tb "The funeral of Miss Mary Smits, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Smits, who died last Thursday, was held from St. Mary Church on Monday morning. Interment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The pall bearers were six brothers of the deceased, Martin, John, Frank, Henry, Louis and Sylvester. Six young ladies of the Sodality of which she had been a member, acted as honorary pall bearers, namely, Misses Ella Danen, Stella Smits, Rose Broekman, Rose Janssen, Henrietta Vermeulen and Doris Janssen."
