    • James R. "Bogey" Vanden Boogaard, age 64, of Oshkosh, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center. Jim was born on February 22, 1947, in Appleton, to Bernard & Audrey (Beschta) Vanden Boogaard. He attended schools in Kimberly graduating from Kimberly High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He married Sherree Pueschner on July 18, 1987. He owned and operated Dutchman Painting for over 25 years. Jim was very athletic, golfing and playing for many years in softball leagues. He was an avid baseball fan. His love of the outdoors led him to his second career of scrapping to help save the planet. In addition to sports and the outdoors, Jim also enjoyed playing sheepshead and a passion for Romanian art glass. Family and friends will always remember his sense of humor which was as big as he was. He is survived by his bride and best friend of 24 years, Sherree Vanden Boogaard; his daughters, Marriah Marg of Appleton, Jessie Pinckney and Sarah (D'Angelo) Tinsley, both of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Daniel, Ezra and Melvin; his sisters and brothers, Pat (Tom) Asmen, Mary (Lenny) Milton, Kim Vanden Boogaard and Robert Vanden Boogaard, all of Appleton; his in-laws, Bev & Gene Pueschner of Marshfield, Jody (William) McConnell of Oshkosh, Shane (Mary) Pueschner of Madison and Irene Pueschner of Marshfield; his close friend, William Schroeder; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law Garry (Jackie) Vanden Boogaard, and brother-in-law, Eric Pueschner.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Jim's family would like to thank the Oshkosh Police, First Responders and the ER Staff at Aurora Medical Center for the help given to Jim and his family. A special thanks to John for his compassion.
