- Doris Gosdeck, "Kaukauna Hat Lady", age 91, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. She was born May 19, 1922 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Rudolph and Louise (Bohm) Feldt. Doris was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, Class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Milo Gosdeck on September 2, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1986. Doris enjoyed volunteering at St. Paul Home and visiting shut-ins. She was known at the St. Paul Home for her many hats. Doris was a long standing and faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church where she was a 25 year member of the Women's Aid, as well as its president and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #41.
Doris is survived by her son, David (Judy) Gosdeck; her daughter, Darlene (Dennis) Bellavance; five grandchildren: Kurt (Sarah) Gosdeck, Michael Gosdeck, John Gosdeck, Debra (Timothy) Hamilton, and Rachel (Wayne) Boerner; nine great-grandchildren: Jordan and Autumn Gosdeck, Noah, Jake, Gabriella and Megan Hamilton, Madison, William and Matthew Boerner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Karen Crane in July 2012, her brothers: Paul and Earl and twin granddaughters.
Funeral services for Doris will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon St., Kaukauna with Rev. Tim Wilkens officiating. Friends may call on Friday directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
