    • On September 24, 2006, Rita A. Davis passed away.

      Rita is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Buster K. Davis; her dear daughters, Rose Marie Hunt, Angelique Schneider and Elizabeth E. Davis; her dear sons, Joseph K. Davis and John W. Davis; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Valeda, and her brother, Bernard L. Jansen.

      Rita was born in Illinois in 1934. She had been a resident of Glen Burnie since 1958. She worked as a Fingerprinting Clerk for the F.B.I. in Washington, D.C. She was a member of many clubs, including the GGB Sports League and the Daughter of the Revolution. She was with the American Federation of Government Employees and was a Union Representative. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a music teacher, the Director of Day Care at Ft. Meade and was a choir director and organist while the family was stationed in Hawaii. She was also an advocate for women's rights. Rita enjoyed many hobbies which included collecting carnival glass and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
