- Florence M. Kuehnl, age 98, of Stockbridge, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. She was born November 25, 1917 in Stockbridge, daughter of the late Adolph & Linda (Simon) Watry.
Florence married Joesph F. Kuehnl on June 4, 1946 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge, and the couple farmed together in the Town of Stockbridge until their retirement. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1998.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge where she also belonged to the Christian Ladies Society.
In her free time, Florence enjoyed playing cards, making quilts and embroidering. Many of her works of art were donated to church raffles and auctions.
Florence is survived by many cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until 10:45 am. There will be a Parish Vigil Service held Friday evening at the funeral home at the close of the visitation.
Florence's family would like to thank all of the family, friends and neighbors who cared for her throughout her life with visits and assistance with projects. They would also like to thank the staff of Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton and the Calumet County Hospice Nurses and staff who cared for Florence, especially in these last days.
