- Marie E. Rutten, 85, Green Bay, passed away Friday evening, March 4, 2016, of a sudden and unexpected illness at a local hospital with her loved ones by her side. Marie was born August 24, 1930, in the town of Eaton to the late Frank and Catherine Bosetski. She grew up on a farm with eleven siblings. On April 18, 1953, Marie married William "Bill" Rutten and raised three daughters at their home they built in Green Bay. Bill and Marie shared 48 years together enjoying antiquing, their 1949 Studebaker and their cottage on the bay. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2001. Marie started working for Schreiber Cheese in June of 1961 and retired after 32 years of service, mostly in Pre-Pac. Marie was an avid doll collector and loved to travel and go on tours to see plays, musicals, sightsee, and shop with her sister Esther. Whether just playing cards at the cottage or going out to the casino, Marie was quite the trend-setter with her clothes and jewelry; people often stopped to compliment her, and Marie loved explaining her fashion.
