    • Gary Lee Destree, 68, of Macon, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11:00AM at St. Francis Episcopal Church. The family will greet friends on Friday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation , 270 Peachtree Street, NE, #1040, Atlanta, Georgia 30303 or Emory University Hospital, 1365 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30322.

      Mr. Destree, son of the late Myrtle Deprey Destree and the late Alvin Destree, was also predeceased by his brothers, Jim and Thomas Destree, his father-in-law, Gerald Van Caster and his brother-in-law, Jim Hansen. He loved to play golf and was a Packer fan.

      Mr. Destree is survived by his wife, Linda Destree; sons, Scott Destree, Shane Destree and Ross Destree (Jennifer); grandchildren, Alex Destree and Katlyn Destree; brother and sister, Wayne Destree (Karen) and Wanda Wilczynski (Ken); cousin, Neal Destree (Pat); sister-in-law, Wendy Hansen; brother-in-law, Kevin Van Caster; mother-in-law, Delores Van Caster.

      "Good-bye to everyone, especially Linda, my wife, who was great, and three good sons who never got in trouble. Love to my brother, Wayne, sister, Wanda, and cousin, Neal. Also, good friend, David Detrie. Special thanks to Herb, Jeff and Jeff. Remembrances to Mike Huelsbeck and Mike Ziebell from Appleton, Wisconsin. I enjoyed my work with Appleton Papers and Brown and Williamson from which I retired in 2006. Life has been good to me."
