      Peeters, Martin J.
      Martin J. Peeters, age 79 years, of Birch Rd., Shiocton (Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County), passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Martin Jacob Peeters was born April 15, 1928, in the Town of Deer Creek to Cornelius and Louise (Van den Elzen) Peeters. He dairy farmed his entire life on the family homestead, retiring in the early 1990s. Martin was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and he also proudly served as a Nichols Co-op board member for many years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, deer hunting, and especially liked taking pictures.

      Survivors include four sisters: Elizabeth Hansen, Menasha; Dorothy (James) Mackowiak, Clintonville; Helen Mackowiak, Town of Lebanon; and Rose (Willis) Fritz, Clintonville. Further survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Peeters, New London; 36 nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

      Martin was preceded in death by two sisters: Agnes Hooyman and Roseann Peeters, two brothers: Anthony and Joseph Peeters, and three brothers-in-law: James Hansen, John Mackowiak, and Herbert Hooyman.

      The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Residence for their wonderful care given to Martin.

      Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 1st, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Fr. John Mullarkey and Parish Director, Patricia DeGroot will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of mass at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family.
