    • Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Hansen, age 84, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014, St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. On December 15, 1929, Betty was born in Deer Creek to Cornelius and Louise (Van den Elzen) Peeters. She was united in marriage to James Hansen on November 20, 1951; he preceded her in death on August 10, 2002. Betty was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha and volunteered her time in the church, school, and the cafeteria. She loved the Packers and went to many games, including the Ice Bowl in 1967. Betty enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Shawano Lake with her family. She had a love for dancing and enjoyed Polkas and Waltzes.

      Betty will be missed by her daughters: Gladys Hansen, Ann (Mike) Coughlin, Janet (Tom) Wagner; her grandchildren: April Wagner, Jamie, Michelle, and Tom Coughlin; a brother-in-law, Willis Fritz; sister-in-law, Helen Mae Peeters; and other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her sisters: Agnes (Herb) Hooyman, Dorothy (James) Mackowiac, Helen (John) Mackowiac, Rose Mary Peeters and Rose Fritz; and three brothers: Anthony, Martin and Joseph Peeters.

      The Funeral Mass for Betty will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, November 28, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street in Menasha with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. The Rosary will be recited from 9:00-9:30am with the Visitation starting at 9:30am until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in the Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
