    • George Timmers, age 80, 310 W. Leather Ave., #46, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff.

      George was born November 14, 1933 in Catawba, the son of George and Rose (Kempen) Timmers. George worked and lived most of his life in Milwaukee. He has been a Tomahawk resident for the past 20 years. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, and putzing on motors. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

      Survivors include: siblings, Gerald (Gloria) Timmers, New Berlin, Florence (Harold) Kurth, Pewaukee, Herbert (Bonnie) Timmers, Mukwonago, Julie Appleton, Waukesha, Henry (Karen) Timmers, New Berlin, Mary (Steve) Haigler, Bayside, Wilbert (Donna) Timmers, Waterford. George is further survived by a brother-in-law – Robert Amrhein of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Audrey, and two sisters – Jeanette Armstrong and Shirley Amrhein.

      A Memorial Mass for George Timmers will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial of George’s ashes will take place in the spring.
