- Marvin P. Bushmaker, age 88, of 1466 Main Street, Rudolph, WI died Monday, September 29, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, WI.
Memorial Services are 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Philip's Catholic Church, Rudolph, WI. Rev. Rolando Onden will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Philip's Church on Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Rudolph, WI with military rites provided by American Legion Post #485 of Rudolph, WI.
Marvin was born April 8, 1926 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Frank and Cecelia (Meulmanns) Bushmaker. He married Alice O'Shasky on May 20, 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Marvin was employed at Consoweld Corp. for 42 years retiring in June 1988.
Marvin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1944-1946 serving in the Pacific Theater in an engine room on a L.S.T. He was a member of American Legion Post #485 of Rudolph, where he served as financial officer for 45 years. Marvin was proud to take the Honor Flight in recent years. He also was a Village Trustee for 20 years and served on the Rudolph Volunteer Fire Dept for 30 years. Marvin enjoyed bowling, camping, traveling and fishing.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons, Zachary (Barbara) Bushmaker of Rudolph, WI and Guy Bushmaker of Rudolph, WI; three daughters, Cheryl Bushmaker of St. Point, WI, Stacey (Steve) Cady of New Brighton, MN and Tammi Bushmaker of Rudolph, WI; nine grandchildren, Dr. Clyde Cady, Dr. Kyle (Christen) Cady, Ryan Cady, Stuart Cady, Heather Janke, Kelsey Cady, Jillian Cady, Todd Pelot and Lisa Benedict; five great grandchildren, Heidi, Adam, Macy, Cohen and Morgan; one brother, Gerald (Sylvia) Bushmaker of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and one sister, Rita Lodzinski of Green Bay, WI.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials can be designated to the Opportunity Development Center.
