- Flanagan, Thomas J.
Thomas J. Flanagan, 75, of Shawano formerly of Bonduel, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Shawano. He was born Sept. 11, 1926, to the late James and Helen (Houn) Flanagan at Waupaca. In 1951, he was married to Marian Moder at St. Peter and Paul Church at Hortonville. She passed away Nov. 19, 1986. On Feb. 4, 1989, he was married to Eileen Norder at Cecil. He was a teacher and wrestling coach in the Bonduel School District for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church, Cecil. Former member of Bonduel Lions Club. Member of the Bonduel American Legion Post 217. He also served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; children, Mariella K. Flanagan (William) Schumacher, Pulaski; Timothy (Tina) Flanagan, St. Roberts, Mo.; Jolene (Peter) Daniel, Shawano; Peggy (David) Bodart, Seymour; Grandchildren, Jesse, Nicole, Joanna, Daniel, Katie and Amanda Bodart; stepchildren, Steve Norder, Pella; Sue (Jim) Mares, Bear Creek; Nancy (Tom) Simons, Fremont; step grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Kristyn Mares, Lindsey, Shane, Shannon Norder, Dustin and Aimee Wetmore; one sister, Helen Mares, Appleton; two brothers, Paul (Mary) Flanagan, Bear Creek; Ed Flanagan, Bear Creek; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Flanagan, Bear Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marian; three brothers, James, Clifford and Jerry; two sister-in-laws, Pat and Trudy.
Friends may call at Zastrow Funeral Home in Bonduel on Sunday, March 31, 2002, from 4 until 8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 1, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church in Cecil with Father Len Evers officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A memorial fund has been specified in lieu of flowers.
