    • Maron "Bud" W. Grill, age 96 of Clintonville, passed away early Tuesday morning October 27, 2015 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

Maron "Bud" Wenniger Grill was born July 16, 1919 in Shawano County, the son of Linus "Lynn" and Florence (Wenniger) Grill. Bud grew up on the family farm of 160 acres and also worked with his father at Grill Sand & Gravel. He was united in marriage to Lois Johnson in Shawano on January 14, 1943. He later worked on the railroad for Chicago Northwestern. In 1954, he started work as an insurance agent in Clintonville, and was recognized in Wisconsin as a top seller. Bud and Lois raised their children here in Clintonville, and he was loved as a great family man. The couple later expanded their business ventures into real estate, owning and operating Grill Realty here in town. Bud also served his community through service organizations including: the Clintonville Lion's Club, Moose Lodge, and the Masons. Bud loved to spend time with his children. His hobbies included: hunting, fishing, curling, golfing and traveling. He liked to collect timepieces; especially pocket watches. Bud and Lois also liked traveling to Florida during their later years. He was the king of one-liners, with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He will be missed. His daughters, Nancy Baumgartner, Clintonville; Jean (Alasdair Kellie) Grill, Superior, CO; his son, Michael (Nancy) Grill, Appleton; his grandchildren, Tim (Becky) Baumgartner, Bangkok, Thailand; Michael Baumgartner, Cincinnati, OH; Dr. Jennifer Roberts, Marshfield; & Sara (Vic) Nonzee, Grovetown, GA; his great-grandsons, Maron Baumgartner & Tristan Nonzee; a sister, Joan (Eugene) Woznicki, Appleton.
