    • Virginia "Ginny" Dwyer, 80, lifelong resident of the Green Bay area, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at a local hospital after a short illness with her family at her side. She was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Appleton, to the late Wilfred "Bill" and Mae (Eisch) Cuene. On Sept. 27, 1952, she married Patrick F. Dwyer at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Green Bay, and they would have celebrated their 59th anniversary this year. Two of Ginny's favorite jobs were working as a desk manager at the Ramada Inn and a hostess at Box Car Billy's. She was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed fishing, loved the beach and going "Up North".

      Ginny was a very special and fun loving wife, a patient, loving and giving mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her family; her husband, Patrick; four children and their spouses, Terri Dwyer, Jean and Terry Eckers, Patrick Dwyer, Julie and John McClain; two grandchildren, Shane Judd, Ben Olson; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" McGuire; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bill Cuene, Donald and Evie Cuene; a sister-in-law, Eileen Dwyer; and Mom's constant companion, her dog, Riley.

      She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Dwyer; her parents; her stepmother, Marion Cuene; a sister-in-law, Kathy Cuene; and a brother-in-law, Rollie McGuire.

      Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Dane Radecki O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
