- Mrs. Mary Mies Schaller, 71, of Fremont St., Kiel, died early today at St. Nicholas Hospital.
Born Mary Nett, in Marytown, Aug. 7, 1881, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude Nett. She attended Catholic school at Marytown and on June 4, 1902 was married Hubert Mies of St. Joseph. The couple located on a farm one mile west of Kiel, later moving into the city to make their home. Mr. Mies died on Sept. 8, 1917, and in 1926 she was married to Frank Schaller of Kiel. He died in 1942. Mrs. Schaller was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of the SS. Peter and paul Catholic Church, members of which will recite the rosary at the church at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Voelker, and a son, Claude Mies, both of Kiel; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers, Arnold and Matt Nett of Kiel and Frank Nett of Milwaukee, and a sister Mrs. Joseph Klinkner of Plymouth.
Services will be held at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, at 9:30 a.m. Friday and at 10 o'clock at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. F.X. Kheil officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Thursday
to time of the Friday morning services.
