Moss, Ronald N. Ronald Moss, Little Chute, age 79, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at the Appleton Medical Center. Ron was born in Aniwa on March 19, 1926, and for many years was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in Kaukauna, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. His employment there was interrupted during World War II, at which time he served as a member of the United States Army. Ron was a life member of the Electric City Post #3319 of the V.F.W. and the post will honor him with military memorial rites following the services at the church. Ron married Joan Baeten in 1947; she preceded him in death in 1989. In January of 2005, he married Doris Gruentzel; she survives. Ron enjoyed collecting clocks, vintage model cars, and beer mugs, and will be remembered as a talented carpenter and wood worker. He is survived by his wife, Doris Jacoby Gruentzel Moss, Little Chute; three children: Ronald Moss, Appleton; Sandra (Charles) Nigl, Oshkosh; and Barbara (Terry) Vanden Bosch, Kewaunee; five grandchildren: Mason Moss, Kristine Nigl, Katherine Nigl, James Nigl, and Kelly Vanden Bosch. Ron is also survived by Doris's children: Richard (Patricia) Jacoby, Lake Mary, Florida; Veronica Van Susteren, Dallas, Texas; Pamela Jacoby, Appleton; and Nancy (Ronald) Ostrowski, Shawano; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Joan, a sister, and five brothers. The funeral liturgy for Ron will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2006, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Charles Brooks officiating. Military rites will follow the mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
