    • Betty Jane Becker, age 87, of Brillion, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Garrow Villa in Brillion.

      Betty was born on November 21, 1929 in Potter, daughter of the late Raymond "Ray" and Ruth (Bettner) Aplin. She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1948. On April 29, 1949, Betty married Royal Becker at Peace Church in Potter. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2015. Betty was a member of the Woman's Guild, the choir, and taught Sunday school at the church for many years. She also was a fabulous cook and baker, always making sure she could master a recipe. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, often going on vacations and outings and playing cards.

      She is survived by her children: Gwenn (Gordon) Salonen of Winchester, Randy (Kim) Becker of Reedsville, David (Julie) Becker of Hortonville, and Heather (Bill) Johnson of Black River Falls; one son-in-law: Richard Nevenhoven of Brillion; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her siblings and in-laws: Darlene (Jerome) Mertz, Jim Aplin all of Potter, Bonnie (Ken) Monty of Brillion, and Irma Becker of Rapid City, SD; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

      Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Royal, one son, Robin; one daughter, Faye Nevenhoven; three siblings and four in-laws: Eugene (Delores) Aplin, Delores (Willard) Knoespel, Janice (Harvey) Hartz, and Audrey Aplin; and other in-laws.

      Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Peace Evangelical and Reformed in Potter. The Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod will officiate. Burial will be in Brillion Community Cemetery.

      Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
