- Cora Wilhelmine Wittmann, 87, of 524 Lincoln Ave., Brillion, died unexpectedly, Monday, October 17, 1988, at Green Bay. Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother left us on her 87th birthday. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral mass will be at St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion, preceded by family rites at Wieting-Schneider Funeral Home, Brillion. Father John Neuser will officiate and burial will be in Askeaton Cemetery.
Mrs. Wittmann was born October 17, 1901, in the town of Woodville daughter of the late Anton and Mary Wolfinger VanderLoop. She married Steve G. Wittmann, June 20, 1923, at Hollandtown. She farmed with her husband in Askeaton, Town of Holland, retiring in 1963 and moving to Brillion. Mrs. Wittmann was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion and honorary member of Christian Mothers, Member of Brillion Senior Citizens and was an avid card player.
Survivors include a son and special friend, Marvin Wittmann and Delores Mosing of Little Chute; five daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Delbert A. Lau of Brillion, Arlene and Lyle Fink of Kaukauna, LaVerne and Jerome Meyer of Sheboygan Falls, Gloria Schuh of rural Brillion and Dorothy and Allan Zahn of Brillion; four sisters, Josephine Heiting, Mrs. Ozee Smith, Mrs. Henry (Lucina) Siebert and Mrs. Sylvester (Delores) Kappell, all of Kaukauna; 23 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, February 2, 1979, a son-in-law, Harland Schuh, 2 daughters, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
