- Dorothy M. Lamers, Little Chute, age 90, died Thursday June 30, 2011 at Appleton Retirement Community. She was born August 23, 1920 in Little Chute to the late George F. and Celia (Gloudemans) Look. Dorothy married Thomas C. Lamers on July 23, 1946 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. She volunteered at Parkside Care Center and Fr. Carr's "Place 2 B" for many years. She was also involved in many volunteer activities for St. John's Church and School. Dorothy was a member of the St. Elizabeth Society at St. John's where she was a lifelong member. She enjoyed the Brewers, Packers, and bowling. Her greatest joy was her family. Dorothy cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She really enjoyed watching all of their games and other school activities. She treasured time spent with everyone at all of the family gatherings, especially during their annual family vacation at Roberts Lake. Her family always looked forward to her sugar cookies and Chex mix.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Louann (Wayne) Vande Hey, Kaukauna; Dan (Kathy), Little Chute; Larry (Jolene), Appleton; Ken (Nancy), Little Chute; Joe (Lisa), Harrison; and Pat (Jackie), Grapevine, TX; grandchildren: Jenni Vande Hey, Greg (Barb) Vande Hey, Julie (Joe) Trzebiatowski, Brian (Susan) Lamers, Laurie (Kevin) Maas, Clint, Karrie, Marty, Sarah, Ben, Mallory, Katherine, Nicholas (Destani), Lucilia, Clare and Anna Lamers; great grandchildren: Lizzie, Alyssa and Breten Vande Hey, Morgan and Ryan Trzebiatowski, Nolan and Nathan Lamers, Owen, Isaac and Aiden Maas; sister and brother: Lucille Reynebeau and Bob Look; and sisters-in-law: Margaret Look and Doris Vanden Heuvel. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Thomas; father and mother-in-law Martin and Janet Lamers; brother Ray Look; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe Reynebeau, Mary Look, Dick Vanden Heuvel, Jack (Kate), Mark (Audrey), and Bob (Margaret) Lamers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2011 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St., Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr.
