SODA SPRINGS Lucille Helen Diehl Langedyke, 90, of Soda Springs, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001, at the Caribou Memorial Living Center. She was born March 27, 1910, at Sherwood, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Helen Merkley Diehl.
She married Nicholas W. Langedyke November 12, 1931, at Appleton, Wis. Mr. Langedyke passed away April 11, 1994.
Lucille was raised and educated in Outagamie County and high school in Appleton. She had also lived at Grandchute, Wis., and St. Petersburg, Fla. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Soda Springs.
Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, painting and extensive traveling.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Helen Langedyke, Soda Springs; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; also a sister, Viola Schmitzer, Menasha, Wis. She was preceded in death by a grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be conducted on Monday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Soda Springs. Visitation and rosary will be Sunday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Marys Catholic Church in Soda Springs. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
