  Age 95, of Greenville, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Fern was born in the Town of Deer Creek, WI on April 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Spence ) Bechard. She graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1936. On April 30, 1938, Fern married Raymond Paul. He preceded her in death in June 1994. Fern and Raymond resided on the family farm in Maple Creek for 30 years and later moved to Clintonville. She was most recently living in Greenville. Fern loved to travel, garden, go to the cabin, play the organ, read the Bible, and spend time with her large family. Fern is survived by her children: Carol (Glenn) Janke, New London; Jane (Leonard) Sasse, Neenah; Nancy Jungwirth, New London; Arthur Paul, New London; Donna (Walter) Hanson, New London; Donald Paul, Appleton; and Leilani Paul, Greenville. She is further survived by sons-in-law Armin (Sandi) Conradt, New London and James (Diane) Hofferbert, Sterling, VA; 22 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; one brother Rexford (Alice) Bechard, Wild Rose; one sister Elaine Bechard, West Bend; and numerous other relatives and friends. Fern was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughters, Sharon Conradt and Priscilla Hofferbert; four sisters and four brothers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London, with Father Daniel Felton officiating. Family and friends may visit at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again directly at church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in New Maple Creek Cemetery, Town of Maple Creek. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, especially Lori and Barb, Dr. Robin Price and the staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. The family would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our sister, Leilani Paul, for the care she had given to our Mother for the past 19 years. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
