      Kaukauna

      Age 90, died Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. He was born July 14, 1912 in Appleton the son of the late Fred W. and Alice (Langenberg) Berg. Cy was in the laundry and dry cleaning business for many years. He had a love for nature as he worked in the yard, watching and feeding the birds. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #962, Knights of Columbus Council #1033, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, and former member of Fox Valley Golf Club. He volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul, Kaukauna for many years.

      Cy is survived by his wife of what would have been 65 years in November, Margaret and their children: Karen (Gene) Van Lanen, Hanover, Pennsylvania Patricia (Dennis) Carol, Madison, Wisconsin Thomas (Darla) Berg, Seattle, Washington and grandchildren: Jeffrey Van Lanen, Boulder, Colorado Lori (Steve) Quella, Marion, Iowa McKinzie Berg, Seattle, Washington a great-grandchild, Jennifer Quella, Marion, Iowa. He is further survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Roman (Alice) Berg two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Leone (Art) Lamers and Louise (Jack) Damro many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by six sisters and a brother.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Jim Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.
