      Rollwitz, Mary Bernarda Plesser
      Tennie


      Mary Bernarda Rollwitz, 82, of Roswell, New Mexico, and formerly of Appleton,
      passed away April 5, 2009, at a Roswell care facility. A funeral mass was
      celebrated Wednesday, April 8 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Roswell, with Fr.
      Paul Juniet, O.F.M, officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Ballard Funeral
      Home and Crematory, Roswell. An online registry can be accessed at www.ballard

      Mary was born on June 6, 1926, in Appleton to Bernard J. Plesser and Clara
      Whitlin Plesser. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as an infant son and
      two brothers. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Roman Tennie,
      originally from Appleton.


      She married Joseph Bertram Rollwitz on September 2, 1991, in Roswell. Her
      husband survives her at the family home. Mary is also survived by her sons:
      Joseph Lee Tennie and his wife Catherine Ann of Las Vegas, NV; William Allen
      Tennie and his wife Cynthia Ann of Arlington, TX; and Douglas Brian Rollwitz;
      her daughter, Lesleigh Kathleen Keetch of Durango, CO; her brother, Clare P.
      Plesser and his wife, Dolly of Gahanna, OH; her sisters-in-law: Eleanor Wagner
      of Grafton, WI; Bernice Brill of Appleton; and Florence Plesser of Milwaukee.
      She is also survived by her grandchildren: Julie Ann Tennie, Matthew Lee Tennie,
      Chris Diaz, Kiera Jeanatte Keetch, Braden Gerek Keetch and Blake Patterson
      Keetch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


      Mary lived in Roswell for 37 years and retired from Roswell Home Furnishings.
      She was a life-long devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Peter's Church. She
      was the first ordained Eucharistic Minister in Roswell. Mary was a member of
      Knights' of Columbus Auxiliary. Mary was also a volunteer for Community Kitchen
      and Lend-A-Hand, serving the home bound and elderly shut-ins for both meals and
      the Eucharistic Ministry. She also worked at St. Peter's Bingo for 17 years and
      helped to pay off St. Peter's debt.


      In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary's name
      to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 805 S. Main St., Roswell, NM 88203; or to the
      Good Samaritan, 805 S. Main Street, Roswell, NM 88203.


      Graveside ceremonies will be conducted at St. Mary's Cemetery, Appleton, on
      Monday, April 13 at 1 p.m. with Deacon Patrick Whitcomb officiating.
