- Marian L. Kroll, 98, Rhinelander, died Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was born on November 21, 1916, in Manawa, WI to Homer and Lydia Baldwin. Marian grew up in Manawa with five sisters and three brothers. Only her youngest sister is still living and resides at a Sheboygan nursing home.
Marian graduated from the Little Wolf High School in Manawa, Class of 1932. In her younger years, she was involved in 4-H and was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Marian married Frank Kroll and he preceded her in death in 1985. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Marian was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Bill and Lillian Kroll, Eagle River; and Barbara and Merle Lafortune, Green Bay; grandchildren, Craig Waldo, Mike Waldo, Todd Waldo; Heather (Robert) Shebesta, Noah (Heidi) Kroll, Ethan (Stacey) Kroll, and Rebecca Jensen; step-grandchildren, Ken (Jennifer) Kolar, Christine (Nick) Krazanowski, and Valerie Kolar; great-grandchildren, Jayden Kroll, Adreanah Kroll, Mitchell Kroll, Morgan Kroll, and Donavin Jensen; step-great-grandchildren, Zackery Kolar and Marshell Krazanowski; and her sister, Justine.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; her brothers, Earl, Victor, and Robert; and her sisters, Muriel, Ethel, Audrey, and Ruth.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marian's name to benefit the Wounded Warrior Program. We have several members of our family who have served in the Armed Services.
