 | Ronald D. Wenham, Kimberly, age 91, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at his home. He was born in Milton on June 9, 1932 to the late Forest and Lenora (Paul) Wenham. Following high school, Ronald spent four years in the United States Army. He married Nancy Howard in Janesville in 1956. She preceded him in death in 1995.
Ronald wore numerous hats through life. He farmed in Milton before moving to the Appleton area to work at Riverside Paper. Ronald also owned a carpet cleaning business and a donut shop. In his younger years, he loved playing for the Riverside fast pitch softball team. He also enjoyed golf, bowling, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
As a proud grandpa, Ronald was a huge Little Chute sports fan and could be found wherever his grandchildren were playing. He loved to knit hats for his grandchildren and the teams they played on. Through the years, he knit hundreds of them and many still have their “Grandpa Ron hats.”
Ronald is survived by his children: Pamela (Greg) Hurst, Little Chute; Sandra (Jeff) Mitchler, Kimberly; Randall (Lynn) Wenham, Little Chute; Amy (Jim) Marks, Appleton; and Wendy (Scott Hameister) Kuehne, Little Chute; grandchildren: Brett (Tara Lex) Hurst, Stacy (David) Fieber, and Kristin (Adam) Ginthum; Tara (David) Lehrer, Tamara Mielke, and Jacob (Misty) Mitchler; Charles (Baliegh) Wenham, Sara (Matt) Schepp, and Luke (Whitney) Wenham; Cory (Chrystal) Van Eperen, Hunter (Hannah Theobald) Effa, Isaac (Lauren) Effa, Shane (Lana Garner) Marks, Marshall (JoJo) Marks, and Ashley (Edwin) Bonayon; Brianna (fiancé Max Harty) Kuehne and Benjamin (special friend Kaitlyn Pynenberg) Kuehne; 35 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Giesbers; and God daughter, Lynne Bliss. He is further survived by numerous foster children, nieces, nephews.
In addition to his parents, and wife Nancy, Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Alice (Robert) Blue; brothers-in-law: Leroy Outhouse, Leroy “Bud” Giesbers, and Robert Howard; son-in-law Dean Effa, and father and mother-in-law, Charles and Helen “Granny” Howard.
Visitation will be held July 17, 2023 at Highland Memorial Park (3131 N. Richmond Street, Appleton) beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of Military Honors at 1:00 p.m. |
