    • Allen M. Nennig, 85, St. Johns, Florida, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 25th, 2017, at Baptist South Hospital. He was born on August 6th, 1931, in Neenah, son of Zeno and Rosalie (Reininger) Nennig. Allen graduated from Neenah High School in 1949 and completed education for the electrician field. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He was united in marriage to Mildred Nennig (Williamson) on May 11, 1962 and she preceded him in death October 13, 1995. Allen worked as an electrician for the State of Wisconsin. He was also involved in politics, as an Alderman for the City of Appleton, and on the County Board of Supervisors. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Fl. When he wasn't working, Allen was always enthusiastic to lend a hand (or two) to anyone needing his help. Allen loved the outdoors, and in his leisure time, he would enjoy waterskiing, jet skiing, boating with his family on Lake Winnebago, snowmobiling and playing his piano. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and could easily make you smile with his quick wit and friendliness.

Allen is survived by children: Lynn (Craig) Connor, granddaughters: Alexis and Shannon, Phoenix; Cindy (Bret) Mack, grandsons: Blake, Matthew, and Jacob, St. Johns, Fl; a sister: Eileen (Arden) Tews; sisters-in-law, Judy and Joann Nennig; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Allen was also preceded in death by his parents: 3 brothers: Jerome, Lyle, and Jake.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
