- Gerald "Jerry" F. Allen, 67, Green Bay resident, passed away unexpectedly due to an incident in his shop on April 13, 2016. Jerry was born October 20, 1948 in Green Bay to the late Louis and Bertha (Dappern) Allen. On April 27, 1968, Jerry married his high school sweetheart, the former Caroline Leiterman. Together they shared almost 48 years of marriage. Jerry worked for Tape Inc. for five years, and after worked for the Brown County Highway Department for 31 years until his retirement. Jerry, a truck driver at heart, continued to drive for Ron Holda Trucking during his retirement until last year. He and his family loved to spend time at the cottage up north. Jerry looked forward to his Tuesday morning breakfasts with co-workers and the joyrides he took in "Little Lou." He could fix anything and was often found working on jobs for others. The light of Jerry's life was his family, especially his grandchildren. His lap always held at least one grandchild.
Jerry will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Caroline; Paul (Shelly Wolf) Allen, Bonduel; Kevin (Holly) Allen, Denmark; Jennifer (Kelly) Stein, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Travis (Ashley Rukamp) Allen, Tracy (Brian Dworak) Allen; Courtney and Chelsea Allen; and Jayden, Spencer and Isabel Stein.
