- Kenneth J. Allen passed away on February 6, 2015, at the age 76 at the Unity Hospice - Jack and Engrid Meng Residence. Ken was born on March 16, 1938, to Louis and Bertha (Dappern) Allen. Ken graduated from Premontre High School in 1956 and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1956 to 1964. He married the former Karen Seifert on June 29, 1963, at West Kewaunee United Methodist Church. Ken began working at Tape Inc. in 1956 and started farming in the Town of Humboldt in 1963. He began his second career as a truck driver for Brother's Dairy in 1987, retiring in February 2013. Ken's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and working on the farm. He also enjoyed spending time by the lake with his family and friends.
Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen; and his children, Kathleen (Rick) Jadin, Kenneth (Karla) Allen Jr, Karl (Vicki) Allen, Keith (Shelley) Allen, Bonnie (Michael) Willems, Robert (Juanita) Allen, and Lisa (Doug) Koerner. Ken is further survived by the light of his world, his grandchildren, Amber Willems, Joshua Koerner, Sara Johns, Tyler, Bryce, Brayden, Aubrey, Keeley and Presley Allen. Ken is survived by two sisters, Virginia (Ray) Jaeger, Judith (Gary) Guth; one brother, Gerald (Caroline) Allen; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Judith) Seifert, Morris (Linda) Seifert, Keith (Tarra) Seifert, and Thomas (Alice) Seifert; and many nieces and nephews.
Ken is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Allen; parents; and three brothers, Larry, Darrell and Dennis Allen.
Friends may call from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. Visitation will continue from 10:00am until 10:45am on Monday, February 9, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Green Bay, 501 Howe St., Green Bay. Ken's family would like to thank Dr. Mark Kroll, Dr. Nancy Davis and the nurses at Aurora Hospital who cared for Ken over the last year.
