    • Floyd G. Vosters of Kalamazoo, Michigan, age 87, passed away on March 25, 2010 at home.

      Floyd Vosters was born on October 23, 1922 in Kimberly, WI the son of George Vosters and Dora (Weyenberg) Vosters.

      He served in the US Army Air Force during WWII. Shot down over the North Sea, he was captured and spent fourteen months in a German P.O.W. camp. He received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during capture. Floyd was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

      He was preceded in death by a brother, Cyril Vosters.

      Surviving were five children: Lawrence "Larry" (Barbara) Vosters of Chelsea, MI; Valerie (Peter) Vander Elzen of Gladwin, MI, David Vosters of Comstock, MI, Paul Vosters of Missoula, MT and Mark (Laurie) Vosters of Fife Lake, MI; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a sister, Joan Peeters of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Jane Vosters of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews.
