    • James Robert “Jim” Janssen, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Willow Lane assisted living center in Appleton.

      Jim was born on May 19, 1949 in Wrightstown, WI to Joseph and Catherine (Jager) Janssen. He was raised in Kaukauna and was a 1967 graduate of Kaukauna High School. Following high school, Jim enlisted in the Navy spent the next 10 years serving on the West Coast and making five West-Pac cruises. After serving his country, Jim was employed with Brillion Iron Works and Outagamie County until he retired due to health issues.

      Jim is survived by his mother, Catherine Janssen and her companion Dick Verfurth, King, WI; two brothers, Jack (Kathy) Janssen, Freedom; and Larry Janssen, Appleton; three sisters, Darlene White, Appleton; Sue Ann (Jesse) Zuniga, Little Chute; and Ellen Vandenberg, Shawano; and by nieces, nephews and his very good friends, Dave and Allie the staff at Dick and Joan’s and everyone at Papzer’s Lost Resort in Wild Rose. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Joe and a brother-in-law, Dan White.

      Per Jim’s wishes no services will be held. He will be entombed at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton on Wednesday, January 7, 2015.
