    • Cletus "Clete" P. Holtermann, 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Bellin Hospital. He was born October 16, 1928 to the late Leo and Frances (Vanschyndel) Holtermann in Green Bay.

      On May 30, 1950, he married Delores Brott at St. Joseph Church in Green Bay.

      Clete was employed by Procter & Gamble for 33 years. After retiring, he and Delores spent much of their spare time as volunteers driving for the Red Cross and the Brown County Human Resource Center. Clete had driven over a million miles for the Disabled Veterans. He was most happy when he had any one or all of his grandchildren around him. Clete loved spending time at the cottage, teaching his grandchildren to drive the lawn tractor and playing cards with Dee Dee.

      Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Delores, with whom he lived a full and happy life; six children and their spouses; Joseph Holtermann, San Antonio, Texas; John (Vicki) Holtermann, Vista, California; Joanne (Nate) Carlton, Little Suamico; Jerry (Laurie) Holtermann, Green Bay; Roland Holtermann, Star Prairie, Wisconsin; and Larry (Gwen) Holtermann, Green Bay; 14 grandchildren; one sister, Arleene De Kelver; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Arthur; a brother-in-law, Winford De Kelver; and a sister-in-law, Odelia.

      Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 6, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Highland Crest Baptist Church, 1830 South Military Ave., where the funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jim Downs officiating.
