      RETIRED FARMER SUCCUMBS AFTER 3-YEAR ILLNESS

      Rites for John Hopfensperger 61, At St. Mary's Church This Morning

      John Hopfensperger, 61, died at his home 1531/2 East Third St. at 7:45 a.m. Sunday after a three year illness. He was born in this city March 25, 1879, and farmed in Sherwood until two years ago when he retired and came to Kaukauna to live.

      Survivors are his widow; his stepmother, Mrs. William Hopfensperger of Appleton; three daughters, Mrs. Hubert Vander Linden of Combined Locks, Mrs. Norman Wiedenhaupt, Kaukauna, Mrs. Leonard Seidling of Pine River, four sons, Herman of Menasha, Andrew of Neenah, Daniel of Red Granite and Albert of Greenleaf, nine brothers, William of Rozellville, Peter of Junction City, Frank of Abbotsford, Joseph, Herman, Alex, Harry, Raymond and Eugene of Appleton; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Zimmerman of Menasha, Mrs. Arthur Secvene of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Albert Smith of Green Bay and Mrs. Earl Sullivan of Neenah; and 26 grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held at 8:30 this morning from Greenwood funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. A. Roder officiating. Burial will be in Holy Angels cemetery Darboy.

      Final rites for John Hopfensperger, 61 who died at his home on Third Street were held Wednesday from Greenwood funeral home and from St. Mary's church with the Rev. A. Roder officiating. Interment was in the Holy Angels cemetery, Darboy. Pallbearerer were George Schaefer, Henry Schaefer, Al Thiele, John Stommel, William Kiefer and George Gosz.
