Reynold (Jim) Hopfensperger, Darboy, passed away Thursday morning at his home. He was born in Darboy on June 8, 1913, to John and Nellie (Van Handel) Hopfensperger. He married Cecelia Nickel on June 17, 1939.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Cecelia and six children, Ruth Ann (Brian) Jennerjahn, Hartford City, In.; Ronald (Veronica O'Connor), Minneapolis, Mn.; Kenneth (Sue) Wisconsin Rapids; Ellen (Len) Lipinski, Thorp; Michael (Joann), Darboy; Daniel (Linda), Sun Prairie; and further survived by twelve grandchildren, Jane (Gary) Peavler, Chris (Kristie) Jennerjahn, Katie (Jeff) Marshall, Rian (Leona), Hopfensperger, Seth Hopfensperger, Nathan, Nich and Heather Lipinski, Michelle and Shane Hopfensperger, Cory and Kelsie Hopfensperger, and five great grandchildren; Brett, Leah and Keven Peavler, Adam and Allie Jennerjahn; a brother Earl (Mary) Hopfensperger, a sister Carmen Biese and Bob and Luke Hoffmann, Marie, Matt and John who are special to the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Eric Hopfensperger three sisters; Helen Steidl, Lucy Lemke, Blanche Lehrer; three brothers; Joseph, Richard and Elmer, three half sisters and five half brothers.
He was a life long member of Holy Angels parish, a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Kaukauna Council. Reynold was an usher at church since the age of 16, a wood working leader for the 4 H for many years and retired from the Hardwood Products Corp. after 45 years. He farmed in the Darboy area and was a noted wood craftsmen and cabinet maker.
