    • Edna H. (Kuhnke) Mundt, age 88, New London, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 06, 2014, in the presence of her loving family. She was born in the Town of Ellington on March 14, 1926, daughter of the late Herman and Dilia (Langlotz) Riehl. On January 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to Ewald Kuhnke. Edna was a resident of new London all her life and worked at Hillshire Farms for many years. She enjoyed watching birds, growing flowers and was a rummage sale queen. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary.

      Edna is survived by her daughter Joanne Vollmer, Bear Creek; sons, Jack (Joan) Kuhnke, Greenville; Leroy (Wanda) Kuhnke, Ogdensburg and twin brother, Jess Riehl, New London. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and also other relatives and friends.

      She is preceded in death by parents, husband Ewald Kuhnke, two sons, David and Fred, two brothers, Roy and Lawrence, three sisters, Eleanor Ross, Ruth Schroeder, one sister in infancy, and Laura Greeley, granddaughter Lisa Kempf, grandson Jason Vollmer, son-in-law John Vollmer and also brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.

      Funeral services for Edna will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, new London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial will be in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Lebanon. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
