  A memorial service for Roman G. Vandenack, 83, of Edmond is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Arrangements will be under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home. Vandenack was born Dec. 22, 1922, in Oconto, Wisc. He died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in Edmond. He served his country as a medic in the U.S. Army and fought in two invasions, including the invasion of Normandy. He married Dorothy Rowe in Chicago on Jan. 23, 1965, and was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; sons Marty Vandenack of Carol Stream, Ill., and Bob Campbell of Belvidere, Ill.; a daughter, Patty Greenemeyer of Edmond; sisters, Sally Belzer of Des Plaines, Ill., and Joan Merline of Oconto, Wisc.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
