Mrs. Hopfensperger, formerly of Buchanan Road, Kaukauna, died Saturday, March 5, 1988, at the age of 96. The former Ann Weyenberg was born September 9, 1891, in the town of Buchanan. She and her late husband, Charles, had operated meat markets in the Kaukauna and Little Chute area, and the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1961. She wasa member of St. Aloysius Church of Kaukauna, and the National Catholic Society of Foresters.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Connie Hopfensperger, Little Chute, and Irvin and Bea Hopfensperger, Kaukauna,three daughters and three sons-in-law, Dolores and Vance Garvey, Freedom; Bernice and Don Van Able, Hollandtown, and Dorothy and Don Stuyvenberg, Kaukauna;
two sisters, Doris Vosters, Kalamazoo, Mi. and Gertrude Mollen, Appleton; 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 1962. Three brothers, Francis, J.W., and Matthew Weyenberg; four sisters, Mary Emmers, Nellie Nore, Rose Klein, and Elizabeth Verhoven.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church Kaukauna with the Rev. John Hephner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Greenwood-Fargo Funeral Home, 500 Hendricks Ave., Kaukauna from 5-9 PM Monday and after 8:30 AM Tuesday until the cortege leaves for the churce. A parish prayer service will be held at 8 PM Monday. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
