    • August Jacob Henke, for many years a resident of the town of Worden, died at his home in that of paralysis, after an illness of nearly two years, aged 61 years and two months. Mr. Henke was born in Krone, Germany, in 1853, and came to St. Anna, Wis., with his parents when a small boy. Twenty-three years ago he moved with his family to Thorp from Mazeppa, Minn. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn him eight children: Joseph Henke of Glasgow, Montana, Dr. W. A. Henke of LaCrosse, Wis., Louis, Peter, Emil, Mrs. Henry Driessen, Misses Martha and Mathilda who reside here. The funeral was held on Saturday morning from St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Father Neises officiating, interment taking place in the Catholic cemetery.
