    • Beatrice M. "Bea" Murphy, 101, Appleton, passed away on March 27, 2015. Bea was born on October 23, 1913 to Gerhard "Gerry" and Annie (Pautz) Schaumburg in Osborn (Seymour) Wisconsin. On October 28, 1934 she married Francis "Frank" H. Murphy in Isaar Wisconsin and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1995. Bea was a hard working homemaker, mother and dairy farmer. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton since 1948. She was a proud member of the Willow Hill Homemakers and a Grand Chute area sewing club. She loved playing cards, especially Sheephead, baking and discussing and following politics. Bea was a very kind-hearted woman. She made friends easily, always found the best in others, focused on that and tried to bring out the best in herself and others.

      Bea will be sadly missed by her children: Marvin and Ruth Ann Murphy of Fremont; Jerome and Jan Murphy of Grand Chute; David and Lynn Murphy, of Greenville; daughter-in-law Judy Murphy; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother Gerald (Gladys) Schaumburg; sister-in-law Elaine (Mrs. Maynard) Schaumburg as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis, one son Franklin, one daughter-in-law Marilyn Murphy, siblings: Marie (Gordon) Bunkleman; Margaret (Maurice) Barclay; Florence (Herbert) Rusch; Vivian (Marvin) Druckrey; Dorothy (Carlton) Stellmacher; infant Eunice Schaumburg; Bernice (Jim) Riehl; Maynard Schaumburg; brother-in-law Francis Biel.

      Friends may call on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 912 N. Oneida Street in Appleton.       The family would like to say thank you to the nurses and staff at Carolina Manor and Affinity Hospice. A very special thank you to all the friends Bea had at Linwood Place. You all became like family the last few years of Bea's life.
